Live from the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland, a first time look at Disneyland Park
Leslie (with Pixie Vacations) and Chris take their first trip to Disneyland and Bob, Donna (Bob’s Wifer) Chris and Steve join in as we have lunch at the Blue Bayou restaurant in New Orleans Square.
We taped this show at lunch so there is some background noise, salad eating, and kids screaming, but that’s Disneyland. The restaurant is located inside Pirates of the Caribbean and sits on the shore of a dark swampy moss covered old oak tree beach area. The setting is beautiful and you can see the boats going by from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Way cool. Wish there was a Blue Bayou at WDW. Someday I will make it out to Disneyland.
I am drooling over the thought of that sandwich now. Sure I was fortunate enough to have on at the end of June. But, wow the worst for you but best sandwich EVER. Although I could go for the salad as well right now… LOL
The Blue Bayou was the worst experience I ever had at Disney (not just dining experience). We were seated by the entrance (in my opinion there should not even be tables there), so we had a view of the daylight street and the impatient people waiting for their tables, rather than the ride or the Bayou that we had hoped for for over 18 years. Really 18 years, we had gone to WDW for our honeymoon and had planned to eat at the restaurant there, but in our youthful exuberance it never entered our mind that it wouldn’t be available ay both Magic Kingdoms. We eagerly made reservations when taking our son on his first trip to Disneyland so we could have our honeymoon lunch. Service was average, food was good, but the disappointment in the atmosphere still rankles me. If you go, make sure you ask or wait for a table in the seating area and not at the fringes by the door.
