Mouse Chat Disney Radio – A Disney Radio Show by Disney Fans for Fans
We are staying and recording our show this week from Disney’s Grand Floridian Beach Resort at Walt Disney World
We are here at Walt Disney World with 21 great Pixie Vacation Travel Agents exploring and enjoying so much at Walt Disney World. We wanted to record a show live from the Grand Floridian lobby to let everyone know about what’s new at Disney World so you can plan for your next Disney vacation.
First we went over to Disney’s Polynesian Resort. The Polynesian is in the process of wrapping up their room remodels and I have to say we all think they look great. Gone are the outdated tropical 1970’s looking furniture and the rooms look refreshing, clean and slightly modern but still with that Hawaiian feel. Even Chris Wood that is no stranger for voicing her dislike for this resort loved the new Polynesian rooms.
We also stopped by the Concierge lounge which has a nice view of the fireworks complete with music every night.
Also we were at the Magic Kingdom for the grand opening of Starbucks which replaced the Main Street Bakery on Main Street USA. The new Disney World Starbucks looks nice and has two high capacity ques. Coffee prices are the same as any Starbucks you would normally go to. I paid $4.30 for a Venti Cappuccino with tax. Also I paid with my Starbucks iPhone app with no issues. So they take Starbucks gift cards and you get your reward points.
Hmmm, maybe I should save my next free coffee reward for the Magic Kingdom.
The food items are 95% Starbucks food items and every pastry item in the case was 1 snack credit which was nice.
I did not see snack credit available for drink items. So this is a nice way to use your Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits at the Magic Kingdom Starbucks.
The one thing that was disappointing is that ALL of the seating is now gone from the Main Street Bakery. I understand Starbucks want to make as much money as possible and just have two massive ques to serve as many guests as possible, but when it was 90 degrees outside I would like to be able to find a place to sit and eat and drink my coffee inside in the air conditioning. Also the cinnamon roll is gone. This is not a big deal because you can now get in at Gaston’s in the New Fantasyland (Which has several NICE seating areas, by the way).
Also on this Live show from Disney’s Grand Floridian we do a quick review of our dormer rooms here at the Grand and quick review of the overall Grand Floridian Resort too. We are sitting overlooking the new kids water play area and the new Grand Floridian DVC resort and I have to say both look fantastic. We even have an update on the DVC progress for the opening later this year.
First Ever Mouse Chat Disney World Meet up!

Private VIP Fantasmic Dessert Party at Disney Hollywood Studios
Start off the witching hours on Friday the 13th from 8:30 – 9:30 PM for a private viewing area at Disney’s Fantasmic. We have a Private Dessert Party filled with scrumptious desserts for you to enjoy while watching Disney’s Fantasmic. Continue the night with Disney’s Limited Time Magic at Disney Hollywood Studios with a Special Villain treat and the park staying open until the Witching Hour (13th hour 1 AM)
We can only hold a limited number of fans for this event so please RSVP today. Once these are gone they are gone.
When: Sept. 13 (Friday the 13th) at Disney Hollywood Studios (Fantasmic Private VIP viewing area – Hollywood Hideaway) 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM
