It’s not a fantasy. But it is Fantasyland. Florida’s Disney World has announced that couples can now plan their wedding ceremonies inside the Magic Kingdom at the park’s new East Plaza Garden.
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings package collections start at $2,500, and custom experiences begin at $12,000. Premiere locations such as the Magic Kingdom, with a completely customized ceremony and reception for 100 guests, start at $75,000. For more pricing and options, visit www.disneyweddings.com.

Just listened to the podcast and am curious about the whole getting married at Magic Kingdom. My cousin and his wife got married in front of the castle where the old rose garden used to be in 2014. The bride came over the bridge in the Cinderella carriage and the whole bit. It was before the park opened at 8 am. It was all coordinated through Disney. Any idea how that was pulled off? I didn’t realize it was not a thing that was done! Would love to know your thoughts.
While I agree that the 360 movies in Canada and China are sub-par, I beg you to check out “Impressions De France” again. To me, IDF surpasses Soarin’ when it comes to grandeur and entertainment value – it’s possibly my favorite attraction at Epcot. And unlike Canada and China, IDF is not 360; it’s more like 200, and the audience sits in seats instead of standing uncomfortably.
I notice something new every time that I view IDF. The incredible cinematography engulfs your peripheral vision, and the musical score (a medley of French composers’ music) is unparalleled. The images are bright and vibrant, the sound is turned to 11, and it’s really quite a trip.
Next time you’re at Epcot, give Impressions de France another chance. I really don’t think you’ll regret it. It’s quite sublime.
Although I will probably never have enough money to afford a Disney wedding or live in Gold Oak, this podcast was one of my favorites. I love hearing about the lesser known “attractions” at Disney World, especially because they tend to get overlooked by the typical tourist FAQs. A few years ago Disney aired a great special on TLC all about the Disney wedding experience. Not sure what it was called, but it was really interesting to go behind-the-scenes at each of the wedding venues!
