Last Year for The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

Osborne Lights Going Away

Last Year for Disney Osborne Lights

Fall is coming to Walt Disney World and this is my favorite time to be in the parks. This Holiday season has one more reason to make sure you plan a trip to Walt Disney World, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be going away after this year.  Yes I know it’s very sad.  If you have not seen the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights you really need to see them before they are gone.

This is the last year for the Osborne Lights at Disney World.

“In order to prepare for some incredible experiences coming to the park, including the recently announced Toy Story Land and a Star Wars-themed land, we will not be able to present The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights in the future. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the family of Jennings Osborne for letting us share their family tradition year after year. And thank you to all of you for being part of the spectacle with us. Here’s to making more memories in this, the 20th and final year.” – Disney Parks Blog

For this last year Disney has two holiday fun offers that will soon be available to book:

The Merry & Bright Dessert Party (Nov. 6-Dec. 30)
and the Merry & Bright Dinner Reception (Jan. 1- 3),
both overlooking The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

With this dessert party, you will enjoy holiday-themed desserts while surrounded by the amazing light display.

Also New for 2015 is a dinner reception Jan. 1 – 3,
featuring a selection of small bites including beef, shrimp and turkey, plus wine, beer and specialty beverages. You’ll be able to book these experiences beginning Sept. 16, so call our friends at Pixie Vacations (678) 815-1584 or go to to reserve your spot as part of your Disney World vacation package.

  1. I’m beyond sad. There’s a petition going around trying to get them to move the lights rather than taking them away entirely. You can find it here: . Please sign, everyone seems to be sad or upset, but not a lot of folks are letting Disney know. If they realize how much people love these lights, maybe they’ll move them elsewhere on property. It’s not like they’re running out of space by any means.
