The Disney Dining Plan now comes with alcohol
For 2018 the Disney World Dining Plan comes with alcohol or a specialty drink included.
We cover the new 2018 Disney Dining Plan that comes with Walt Disney World Vacation Packages. If you are planning a 2018 or future Walt Disney World Vacation, this podcast is for you. The Disney Dining Plan can be a great deal for some and now that it comes with alcohol that could be great for some and not so hot for others.
We have also a full one hour podcast covering the Disney Dining Plan and our opinion on the added alcohol and specialty drink being added to the dining plan / vacation packages.

So how would you all like to have the dining plan(s) set up? Have it like the tickets with extra options such as having gratuities, appetizers, and/or specialty/alcoholic beverages included as extra add-ons? One of the big reason that I’m not interested in the dining plan is that it does not include gratuities- I can’t get over paying so much for the plan and then having to shell out even more for tips.
We do know that Disney was testing having dining plans available for day guest at Magic Kingdom. I guess since we haven’t heard anything else about it things didn’t go over well. Do you think Disney should bring it back (is it a missed opportunity), or should something else be implemented for those who are at Disney for a day or longer but are staying off property?
Hi Amanda,
Disney World is always changing the Disney Dining Plan. They added alcohol as the latest change. It hard to say, I like the Disney Dining Plan as long as it is a value for me. It is also nice to pay once and not pay as you go. So the all-inclusive Disney World vacation feel is nice too.
