Mouse Chat Disney podcast – A Disney Radio Show by Disney Fans for Fans
2012 Disney Parks in review and our favorite memories.
A look back at this past year at the Disney parks and a look to the future.
Lisa, Chris and Bob wrap up the year with a jammed packed show. What a great way to end 2012 and ring in 2013 at Disney.
New Fantasyland – The highlight of 2012 has to be the new Fantasyland that replaces Toon Town at the Magic Kingdom. Everything from the two Dumbos, Storybook Circus, the new attractions, dining, and the overall theme is impressive.
Also there is more to come in 2013 and early 2014 with the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
The Citrus Swirl – The best snack from the 1980’s is back! Get a Citrus Swirl in Adventure Land on your next Disney vacation.
EPCOT – Test Track – a mixed review here. It’s nice to have Test Track back and cleaned up, but we have mixed reviews as to the ride experience.
Carsland – Another great example of drawing you into the experience is Carsland at Disneyland in California. AMAZING! You are on route 66 when you enter Carsland at Disney’s California Adventure and you are surrounded by the entire experience. When you walk back to the Radiator Springs Racers the rock work is stunning in this E-Ticket attraction.
2013 Disney World Magic Kingdom Improvements.
What would you like to see in the parks?
1. A decent burger
2. More affordable health food options
3. Look at the quick service options
4. Recycling of packaging
5. Maintenance on Buzz Light Year, the People Mover, and Carousel of Progress needs to be done.

Just listened to your year end show, it was great. However re: your comments about trash cans and recycling cans….the contents of both go to the same place and Disney has a company that goes through the items looking for recyclables. The only reason there are both types of bins in the parks is because people were getting upset that they thought Disney wasn’t recycling. Disney was recycling but placed the “recycling” bins out as a placebo to quiet the complaints. So, some of us who throw out recycleables into trash containers actually know what Disney is doing.
Also on the recycling is not known around the would. People in the USA know about it, but someone from overseas won’t know the difference.
What I would like to see new at Epcot would be to add Brazil and Australia to the World Showcase.
The “Walls” outside Epcot started in 2003. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon and we have our pictures up on them. We did not have to pay for them. It was part of our package. From what I remember, they were supposed to stay up for 10 years. After that not sure. We still look at it and we have showed our 3 year old daughter and she wondered were she was 🙂
