This Weeks Disney World News:
Priority Parking at Walt Disney World
For $35 you can get priority parking at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park or at EPCOT. Normal park fees are $20. So for $15 more you are getting parking that is closer to the front of these parking lots. Would you pay $15 more to park closer or is the tram not a big deal?
Disney has opened the TAG store at Disney Springs
The TAG store is in the Coop at Disney Spring and carries all sorts of travel related products. The Disney luggage tags are very cool.
Disney World Resort Fees?
Travel Pulse is reporting that Walt Disney World is surveying guests about Disney Resort fees. Will we see resort fees coming to Walt Disney World?

Always a great show! My lunch breaks are more exciting with listening to my Mouse Chat friends! Thanks for the info and laughs.
Hi, Sue,
Anything to make the day go by a little bit faster is always good. Glad we can help bring some Disney into your lunch time.
Have a great day
Steve
Please DON’T stay on-topic! It’s what makes the podcast so entertaining and unique.
Hi Lloyd,
Thanks. We know not everyone is always planning a Disney World, Disneyland or Disney Cruise vacation, so we try and add in a little bit more and don’t stick to a script like some shows. Some listeners love it and some hate it. It’s always hard for us to find that balance. So I am glad to hear you like the show as is.
Have a great day,
Steve
What in the world…. 3 months?!?!?! That’s IT? I love ghosts and Disney, but I think the Ghost Dept subs. seems a little weak for just three months.
We signed up for the Scare Package. $199 for three packages, one a month, is not something I would normally do, but we wanted to be able to share this with everyone here at Mouse Chat. When we get the Disney scare packages we will be sure to post about them on Periscope LIVE, twitter, Facebook and here on Mouse Chat. Oh and YouTube of course. So that way you can see if the $199 is worth it, if this opens up again.
Have a great Wednesday,
Steve
Hi, all!
My name is Chloe and I have been listening to your channel for a few months now. I was recently accepted into the College Program over in Orlando (a pretty big move from my hometown of Ashland, Oregon) and found your channel when I started applying back in January. Your podcast is helping me get ready for the big move; sharing tips, tricks, and all the latest news is what I now look forward to hearing when I start my week.
When you mentioned the infamous Disney Turkey Leg, I wanted to share some my pictures of this event. (I linked my Imgur album below of pictures I took of my boyfriend and our first ever Turkey Leg.) We had heard mixed reviews about it and wanted to try it for ourselves. I don’t know if they are the same in WDW, but the DL legs were very big. I mean, we probably could have eaten it over the next three days. Anyways, we were so fascinated by this notorious meal, we pretty much documented our experience with a mini photoshoot. Not sure why… But, thought I’d share!
Love the podcast and I hope to meet you all in the Winter time! Have a great week and I look forward to the next podcast.

Hi Chloe,
Oh Wow, congratulations on getting into the Disney College Program. Let us know where you end up at Walt Disney World. You will have a blast.
So the turkey leg at Disneyland and Disney World are one in the same, so if you loved it at Disneyland you can grab one at Walt Disney World for a meal one day after work too. Thanks for sharing the turkey leg on your imgur account. 🙂
Have a great Monday,
Steve
Regarding the Priority Parking Fee, if you have free parking with an Annual Pass, can you upgrade with a $15 payment, or would you have to pay the whole thing? I might be tempted if I only had to pay $15, but it would depend on how good the Priority spots were and probably on how crowded the parks were and on how late/early we were arriving . . .
You can get the upgraded parking for just $15 with your AP. But I think the test for this has ended. But if they implement it, you can just pay the $15 extra.
Thanks
Steve
Just wanted to let you know I had the turkey leg once and loved it. It is a bit messy, but worth it. I wanted to thank you for all the information you give on the show. Our last Disney trip, two years ago, was a nightmare. Our one year old cried all the way there and our 10 year old, who is autistic, was stressed out the whole time. After listening to the show and hearing all the advice on what to do and what to avoid, I am actually starting to look forward to our trip. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
Thanks Tim. We are really glad to hear our Disney World advice helped ease your fears.
Just don’t try and cram everything in and enjoy the little things, pace yourself and you will have a great time.
Yeah it’s been awhile since I have grabbed a Turkey leg, I might have to get one on our next trip to Walt Disney World.
Have a great night,
Steve
Hello! I just learned what a podcast was this past weekend when I flew to Florida to help a friend move back to NY and she was telling me about it! As a former cast member I of course had to find Disney related ones and stumbled on Mouse Chat! I love it!
Disney is a huge piece of me! My family goes there at least twice a year, and my son will be 1 next month and my parents are taking him for his birthday! I am so excited for him! Anyways this podcast is great and I love hearing updates and information while I am at work!
I am so glad you had a great time at Disney as a Cast member. We did too. It’s always fun to go back now on vacation and I am sure your son will have a perfect time on his birthday. Thanks for listening Sarah.
Steve
Just listened to your newest episode and wanted to say I absolutely love hearing other adults discuss and debate the various aspects of Disney. I’ve gotten into the habit of listening to you guys while I’m doing my morning cleaning and my 2 year old, Oliver, loves hearing Mickey’s name mentioned! We aren’t fortunate to visit Disney every year but it makes me smile to hear others talk about recent trips and the new changes coming.
I’ve loved Disney for as long as I can remember and we’ve made a point to visit at times where our youngest is still amazed by the Magic. So we have a trip booked for the week after Thanksgiving, to celebrate Oliver’s 3rd birthday. It’ll be our first time going to Disney with one quite so young (previously we went when our daughter was 4 but these are two very different children, he is all boy and she was a very mild mannered & well behaved girl). Our others will be 11 and 6 at the time of this visit. Any tips, so that everyone in our party can enjoy our vacation? Divide and conquer?
Hi, Jennifer,
It sounds like your idea to divide up and concur for Walt Disney World is a good plan. We have done this when traveling to Disney in a group. One group takes the little kids and the other the big kids. We meet at different times for snacks and meals, shows etc. But that allows you to explore the Magic Kingdom and not have a group waiting outside a roller coaster that does not want to ride.
Have a great time on your Walt Disney World Vacation.
Steve
Great show. I have learned tons about Disney listening to your show.
Hey Chip. Thanks for listening to us each week and glad we could help.
Have a great Tuesday,
Steve
Tell Chris Wood to stop being so brittle!
Hi there! New listener – funny tip about turkey legs at WDW – apparently, if you gobble at a food kiosk where they sell turkey legs, you “may” get one for free. Seems to be up to the cast members, but here’s a video of it happening – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2jiaB54q3E The CMs select one person per hour. If you are lucky, and happen to mention it, then someone in your party maybe selected if a turkey leg hasn’t all ready been given out that hour.
Hi, Erin, I think he might have gotten the free Turkey Leg at Disney for the over the top approach he took. Well and he gets Free Hugs too it looks like.
Steve
Got a few stares after laughing out loud while listening to the bit about how to pronounce “paleo”. Our laundry facility is like a library at our apartment, silent besides the hum of the washers. Super excited to hear about what’s in the ghost post, went to sign up but they were all sold out! Love the podcast!
We signed up for the Disney World Ghost Post and will make some video and blog post on Mouse Chat when the packages arrive. Glad to hear you got a good laugh out of the Paleo comment. 🙂
Thanks for listening Paulie.
Steve
Looking forward to hearing about the Ghost Post since they are sold out and I can’t get one. 🙂
I am a former Cast Member and did the Disney College Program. I love all things Disney and like listening to news and updates that I may have missed. I have been studying the Disney business model and news, reading the books for and against the company and can think of dozens of topics that might not relate to actually going to Disney, but could create great conversation and get listeners thinking. Happy to share some of the info/topics if you want it.
Lastly, you guys are great. I stumbled across your podcast and ultimately subscribed. Glad I did.
We have you covered with the Ghost Post Laura. We will be sure to post a make videos when each scare package arrives. Yeah we would love to hear your Disney topics. Disney as a business is always interesting. Thanks for subscribing to us and for the comments.
Looking forward to hearing more about your Disney topics.
Steve
I am excited to see what is in this very expensive grab bag. Lol. My first thought was a bunch of merchandise that did not move from Memento Mori. Sounds more like memorabilia for the true fans. Keep us posted!
