Walt Disney World, What to do this holiday season

Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  November 8 – January 6, 2019

You might have heard about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but not about the other Christmas and holiday events happening at the other Walt Disney World parks.  Disney’s Hollywood Studios has it’s own Christmas time event, called Flurry of Fun.  One nice thing about this Christmas event at Disney World is that it is included with your park admission.  There is no special event ticket that you have to purchase for Flurry of Fun. I would head down Sunset Blvd once you are in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the Hollywood Tower of Terror Hotel all decked out with fun projections on the outside.  The retro street decorations and snow also make for fun holiday photographs. There also is a nighttime show you are not going to want to miss.  Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Is a fun nighttime show that takes place outside the Chinese theater.  Try to get there about 45 minutes early so you can get a great viewing spot of the holiday fun that will be on and behind the Chinese Theater. Also new this year Toy Story land will be adorned with Holiday cheer, so be sure to visit the Toy Story characters and Toy Story Land at night.

EPCOTS International Festival of the Holidays

Let’s head over to EPCOT for another holiday time event that is part of your regular admission ticket, The Epcot International Festival of Holidays.  This festival is November 18- December 30, 2018. I would highly recommend you book the Candelight Processional dining package so you can get into the reserved seating section of the Candelight Processional performance.  Also even with the dining package reservations you should arrive early (30-45 mins) to get into line.  If you did not purchase the dining package for this event, you need to arrive at least 1 hour early to 2 hours early depending on the night.  The stand by line will load into the event after the dining package guest are seated.  There are three shows a night, but they all will fill up quickly. Also I really enjoy strolling around World Showcase during the holidays, seeing the decorations and tasting food from around the world.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom even has events for the holidays.

The Tree of life lights up at night as the amazing holiday tree, and there is delightful decor and the celebration of Diwali during UP! A Great Bird Adventure. The main event for Christmas at Walt Disney World I would say is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
