Overrated Disney World Attractions

Overrated Disney Attractions that you might want to pass up.

Is this ride really a must do at Disney World?

Is a Dole Whip really that great?  Was Mr. Toads Wild Ride really that awesome?  The Disney World Turkey Leg, everyone loves, right?

This is out list of overrated Disney World Attractions, Snacks, and Activities.

When you go to Walt Disney World on vacation do you end up with a list of MUST DOS from your friends?  For example Hoop Dee Doo is the longest running Dinner Show at Walt Disney World and you need to book it well in advance, but for me I just don’t understand why Hoop Dee Doo is so popular.  The food seems average to me, the price for a party of four is easily $300 and I always feel rushed by the staff to eat and leave so they can seat the next show.  For me Hoop Dee Doo is not worth the price.  But I am in the minority.  Everyone loves Hoop Dee Doo.  On this weeks Mouse Chat Disney Podcast we will be covering some of the most popular attractions, foods, and trends that we just can’t seem to join in on the excitement.

The Dole Whip

Is the Dole Whip Really that great?  Or are you just so hot and tired that the Dole Whip at Disney World seems like an oasis in Adventureland?  Don’t get me wrong.  I love the Dole Whip at Disney World but some of our Mouse Chatters on our Disney podcast disagree with me.  Post your thought in the comment section below.

Peter Pans Flight

Sure the attraction is cute and you are flying over London in a pirate ship.  That’s something that does not happen everyday.  But is it worth the 45+ minute wait?  I guess it all depends on if you have little ones that even know what Peter Pan is.  Are there other attractions with shorter wait times that are more entertaining.  I think so.

Other Overrated Disney Attractions

Don’t worry, we have a full podcast full of overrated Disney attractions.

  1. I agree 100% on Peter Pan. It seems to be popular for “being popular”, but that’s it. Its not worth 5 minutes of your time and even then you get bored while “on the ship”. Its without a doubt the biggest letdown in Magic Kingdom

I will add to “overrating” the Be our Guest Restaurant. Yes, the ambience is spectacular, but I really did expect a lot more from the food due to the price and popularity. It took me three Disney visits to finally land a reservation, and after we ate there the feeling was “its that all?”. This includes obviously the popular “gray Stuff” which is just a cookies and cream wobbly dessert. Don’t get me wrong, it is very tasty, but nothing better than what you’ll get at a Baskin and Robbins or any chain dessert store

  2. Refurbish Peter Pan, make it twice as long, that might make it worth the wait.
