There are a few new Star Tours products available at Hollywood Studios and online. Here’s the link to the Disney Store’s launch collection. I did see the rebel spy shirt as well as some “Launch 2011” merchandise on the two weekends I attended. As far as the ride goes, I wasn’t crazy about it on my first pass. I think the nostalgia factor kicked in and I really missed Rex! I warmed up to it on my second ride, but it does seem to go by a lot faster than the original.

Sometimes I forget how much people don’t know about Disney! I spend a lot of time answering Disney parks questions on WikiAnswers and I have to correct people all the time. Fastpasses, transportation, food quality, and comparative value to other parks seem to be popular topics.
No one should resist taking their child just because they’re young. My first (first!) memory is visiting the Magic Kingdom a week after my second birthday. And I’m definitely not just remembering the pictures. I would tell my family specific details that none of them remembered until we finally did dig out the photo albums years later. Now we take my young cousins to the parks at least once a month, and at four and six, they’ll sometimes bring up something that we definitely did two or three years ago. I think I have come to have a completely different understanding of Disney through their eyes.
