I am welcome to most of Alisa and joining me. I've got the whole crew of that Debbie, Ethan, Sharpie and Steve. Hello everybody. Howdy! Hi friends! Hi pals! Well this is an early, um, Happy Easter to all of our papes. I want to be an excellent episode. No! Yes. Gonna be good. Okay, so we're gonna be talking about Easter and some of the highlights that you can find but it's the same Patrick's game. I guess no love
What do you want me that was last no was we did miss it what we could be early The ghosty we could be early for next for 2027 Wow, well, let's put that one on our calendar next year when earlier in the year the next year. We'll do the same Patrick's day Yeah, so we're gonna do Easter It's coming up. Hey, Steve. Yes. Why did the Easter egg hide? Why did the Easter egg hide? Yep. I'm afraid to ask. It was a little chicken. No. Thank you. Thank you. Lisa over there, cracking jokes.
cracking cracking jokes. Okay. It was first on the list of Disney World Easter things Lisa. Well, you know what? I've just got this question that's been burning. Why was the Easter Bunny so upset? Why? Why? It was having a bad hair day. No. Oh, no. Okay. Maybe just a little jumpy. All right. Let's hop on into the topic here and we're going to start off with Sharpie. Why don't you start us off with the good stuff, which is meals food at Disney World or
Lando? So there are a few places that you would want to take note of that are offering either special branches or special menus that are specific to Easter. And topping that list is StayCal 71 at Disney's contemporary resort. they will be featuring a special holiday brunch from 8 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. And as you know, stakehouse 71 is known for their stake, but also they have great burgers. So you will be able to get their stack burger or their prime rib hash.
So great, great options there. my perennial favorites for breakfast any day of the year, but especially for brunch is yacht club, and that is at aland compass. And they are offering a special holiday brunch menu from 7.30 am to 2 p.m. And then hopping back over to the contemporary. Chef Mickey's is offering a character dining experience with a special Easter brunch featuring favorites like always of Mickey and goofy and some friends and then you can hop over the lake to
wilderness lodge for whispering Canyon Cafe and they are serving a special brunch but they are also known for their skillets they're all you care to eat or family-style skillets but they're offering some special brunch options as as well. In addition to their traditional breakfast skilllets, their lunch skilllets and their dinner skilllets, they're going to offer a brunch skillet. So special note there. And then garden grove restaurant over at this one and often.
Easter brunch buffet from 7.30 am to 2.00 pm. Also featuring brisket, but they also have a made to order omelet bar. A quick quick jump on that. Garden Grove is not the garden grill. Garden Grove is at Swan and Dolph and that garden grill is at the land pavilion at Epcot. Very good. Just want to make that clear. So if you want to, you can do brunch at Garden Grove and dinner at Garden Grill. Hmm. If you so desire. If you desire to have dinner in a roundabout fashion.
And Steve's looking at me like, oh my gosh. Oh, yeah. Steve's gonna be a basket case by the end of this one. This is true.
Okay. And then again, back to the contemporary. So as the theme here is that you can do either breakfast, lunch and dinner, or brunch and dinner or any combination thereof at the contemporary. So if you're staying at the contemporary for the Easter holiday season, you will definitely want to hit up the contemporary for one of their special meal options because they will also be offering early evening dinner options at the California Grill. So, and then there of course, there is the old trusty
and reliable any holiday of the year, perfect restaurant, Liberty Tree Tavern. So at the Magic Kingdom. So great option there. Oh, it's a good meal. Yep, always a good meal, always a good meal. Something for everyone. Sir, family style. That's an option. Also have traditional menu options there. But yeah, so those are the ones that are offering either special hours or a meal that they don't typically offer. But great, great options nonetheless. Excellent.
Excellent. All right. All right. Those are a lot of good choices. And you reminded me like
Alien compass. That is such an under known undiscovered hidden gem. It is fabulous. Everyone knows the Yatsman steakhouse, but Alien compass. It's pretty yummy too. Okay. Waffles are phenomenal. Yeah, their breakfast is really spectacular and very reasonably priced in Disney terms
Excellent Debbie Come in us well, let's talk about one of my favorite things about Easter and That is the extravaganza over at Epcot which Just an ex scavenger hunt. It's already started. It started March the 4th and it runs through April 6th and it's a really fun thing for kids to do, but I see adults do it too. So you go to either the big gift shop called Creations or the smaller one like World Traveler or Disney Traders and you purchase a map and a
sticker sheet. It's about $12. They do give past World Order discounts on it, save a couple dollars, but you pick up the little sticker sheet and the map and And it tells you what to look for. And as you walk around the world showcase, you find all the hidden eggs. Once you find the egg, you put that sticker on the map. And then when you fill the map, you turn it back in and you get a little prize. So this year they're doing 12 hidden eggs throughout the world showcase and the Odyssey Pavilion.
And they're all super cute. Some of them are very easy to spot. They'll be at eye level. And you'll be like, oh, look, you know, there's a neck. But then some of them are very tricky. And you really have to pay attention. And my suggestion is that you look up. So a lot of them are going to be up. But there's 12 of them to find. And then when you turn in your map, they'll give you a little gift to congratulate you. And you know, insider tip, you actually
don't have to complete the map. So if there's one or two that as you walk around, You just can't find, you can still turn in your map and get your little prize. One year we got a plastic cup with Disney characters on it. It was very cute. Another year we got a little Easter egg, like a miniature version of one of the display eggs. I can't remember what else we've had, but it's cute and it's fun. And it's something for the kids to do is you're drinking your way around the world.
But I have seen adults do it too, because it's a fun thing to do. It doesn't cost a lot. Like I said, it's $12. And it's just a fun way to celebrate Easter and look at these beautiful eggs that are displayed throughout the world showcase. I think it's fun. The eggs are fun. It kind of reminds me of seeing those big buoys on Castaway Key. Yeah. Yes. You guys know what I mean. They're funny character eggs. They're cute.
All right, now if I wanted to meet the man himself, And of course, is very faithful woman. Steve, where would I go? The Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny, Mr. Bunny, and Mrs. Money. So have you ever met the Easter Bunny when you were a kid? Yes. You did. Where'd you meet the Easter Bunny? Like Michael's cramp store. The mall. At the mall. Did you meet Caitlin, you met the Easter Bunny at the mall? Yeah. Yeah. I don't think I've ever met. I did them all too.
Like Santa was always big. Like you always went to meet Santa when I was a kid, but I don't think I ever never did. I don't know if I did. Maybe I was a little bit. I feel like nobody goes to meet the Easter Bunny. No, I remember that. Definitely. Yeah, they do. Okay, let's have so thrilled. That's a shame to life with people. I gotta take my kid and meet the and she's gonna freak out. It could be like, oh. She's been okay with other, other, other characters.
She was not good with Santa at all the last two years. She loves meeting the characters at Disney, like her favorite characters, face characters and non face characters. So I don't know how she's gonna do with the bunny. We'll see. I'm gonna go on a better day. Just to a local thing, not to Disney, There you go. We shall see. Yeah, I feel like I don't know. Laster by doesn't get that much love. But if you want to meet the Easter Bunny, he's out. He is at the Magic Kingdom, which is on Easter Sunday from nine to five over by Liberty
Square. And then I think you can also see the Easter Bunny maybe on a cavalcade on that weekend over at Magic Kingdom when they do the little thing, but you can't hang out and take pictures with them. But at that event. Yeah. I do think they're cute. The, you know, the Disney. The Disney is. Yeah. Some of the mall bunnies or not. Other places. They're a little creepy looking. They are. So I think the Disney bunnies are very cute. Yeah. I don't know why the standard Easter bunny isn't.
Is kind of a little not great. Looking. Yeah. We should think of better Easter bunny. Better Easter bunny. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe next year. All right, Lisa, who's next? Okay, I am. Oh my gosh. So just in case you're going to Disney World and you forgot that it's Easter. You're like, yeah, you spring break. You're all excited in your book, your room, but you forgot it's Easter and you did not bring an Easter basket. You're not because you can make one at
Disney. And they have kind of like a DIY Easter basket. And you can do this at a couple of different locations and customize it to whatever it is your child likes best. And you can even get some help from a cast member merchandise candy toys. But the, the places to find is over at the animal kingdom lodge and Sharpie's going to correct me the Joe Hari treasures. Is that right? You can get a real bunny over there. No, you can't. No, you cannot. Or you can get a rabbits for the lucky rabbits foot. Oh, my gosh, Steve.
No, no. Do they still sell those? Probably not a day. I forgot about those. This is microphone.
Yeah, you get one that you can get it dyed like purple. Oh, my gosh. So you can do this over at Jahari treasures at Animal Kingdom Lodge. you can go to ink and paint shop at Art of Animation and Donald's double feature at All-Star Movie. And they're going to have all kinds of stuff. They're going to have baskets. If you don't have time or you don't know what to put in there, they have some pre-made baskets as well. I have a list. Well, well, and then if you aren't able to get to one of these three
locations. Most resort shops are going to have a lot of options to kind of put a basket together. It's not official, but cast members can help you. So you select your souvenirs in your toys. And then the cast member is supposed to arrange them for you. You'll get it all wrapped up with cellophane and then a pretty little bow. You pay for the the cost of the merchandise, whatever it is that you put in there and then an assembly fee and that's usually around $7.
And then some of the locations are going to offer in-room delivery so that it'll just up here in your room. And that's what you want. You want the surprise factor. So yeah, so that's how you can save yourself because you forgot an Easter basket. Or how the Easter Bunny can find you, you'll wear on vacation. Oh, that's true too. Easter Bunny has connections with these cast members, but you know, at those three locations, they send out a little bunny gram.
That all works out.
Right. Very nice. They only find out if some bunny tells them. That's right. This is true. This is true. All right. So then we go to Caitlin. Yeah, so Disney is known for having the chocolate Easter egg displays every year. They do them at select resorts. In the past several years they've had the grand cottage over at the Grand Floridian lobby, which is basically like a little setup where they did special Easter treats and goodies and it was a super fun little display along with many chocolate Easter eggs. Unfortunately,
they're not doing the grand cottage this year, which is unfortunate. They also did not do the gingerbread display over their during Christmas times. So it kind of seems like they're minimizing the holiday events. I don't know if that's because they weren't sure on their like lobby renovation timeline or because I actually really don't know what the reasoning is. But I mean they had gosh I don't even probably 15 to 20 eggs on display in the past. They have, well, they have like five this year, three in the main lobby.
And then two, two or three in other buildings. So in the main lobby, we actually went and checked them out on the second floor. They have one that's kind of near where you would go out to catch the Monorail and it's in a glass display case and it is move on themed and then they have next to that store, the gift shop, oh they're just to the left of where you would catch the monorail. They have two more, actually, I'm sorry, the one that's near the to the right of the monorail entrance is Bambi themed. The ones in the display cases
outside of this, the store is Little Mermaid and Mulan. So yeah, and in the past they have not been in display cases. So that's also new. But the eggs are still very impressive and very cool. And then in the lobby of the villas, they actually have a special wedding, Disney Fairy to wedding themed egg. And I didn't, we didn't walk over there and see that one, but from the photos it actually looks very detailed and cool with Cinderella and Prince Charming. But the more I guess impressive displays because there's more eggs can be found over
at Yacht Club Beach Club or contemporary. The contemporaries display this year is completely Muppet-themed. Which I feel like Elisa would love. That'd be awesome. Yeah, but they have a big Miss Piggy in the center and then kind of surrounding her are all of the other characters. Sweet as Chef, Kermit, Fuzzy, Beaker, Holgang, and then they also have of Statler and Waldorf kind of in their little iconic balcony, which is really cool. That display is pretty impressive.
And I love that the Muppets are getting some love too. And then the Yaun Beach Club, they have various ones. There's no special theme. They're all different. They have like up and Roger Rabbit. There's a Muppet Vision 3D one over there. This year, actually, the more impressive displays are over at the Yotten Beach Club. They have more eggs. And there's no special theme there. They're all kind of various. They have like, let's see, cocoa and Pirates of the Caribbean, Lady in the Tramp. They have
They actually have a Muppets 3D one over there as well. Up, Pixar. But yeah, they have a really good display over there. They're not in display cases there. They do have stanchions around them. So, you know, no children accidentally bump or knock any of them over, but they're still in a great position for photos and things like that. And these displays are free. So if you're staying at the resorts, or even if you're just passing through or if you're dining at any other resorts,
you can pop in and check out the chocolate egg displays. Now is there like, because some of the muppet ones don't even look like eggs. Is there like a requirement that like the egg has to be part of the thing? Does anybody know like, and then they just build over the egg and then it doesn't look like an egg at all? Because some of them look like eggs. there are no requirements. Just whatever. You just assume there's a, originally it started as an egg.
I think it's basically anything goes that is like follows the theme. I don't think there would really out out the follow rules or there you go. Yeah. It has to wait. It's based on the, what is it like the pastry team? Is that what it would be called? Yeah. The culinary team. Culinary team. Yeah, so they must, you know, kind of give their teams some, some guidelines or something. And then they just roll with it. They just roll with it. Yeah. Yep. And that
roll. Yes. Okay. Very cool. Yeah. Like, for example, over at the Yacht Club, this one is actually pretty cool looking. It's the the final float from the festival, the fantasy, where Mickey and many are in the hot air balloon. So the hot air balloon is a little bit more eggy shaped versus balloon shaped. So I think they just kind of get creative with it. Okay. And then when we got We have one more. We've got one more. We're going back to Sharpie. Back to me.
So if you find yourself at Walt Disney World over the Easter holiday and you wish to attend religious services, traditionally you would have found and possibly this year we have not been able to fully confirm this on any official Disney site. So we are just reporting what has been done in the past and what is alleged to be occurring this year And that is at the Fantasia ballroom at Disney Contemporary Resort You will find Easter Sunday mass for Catholics at 8 a.m.
And 10 30 a.m. And then there is a mainline Protestant service at approximately 9 15 a.m. on Easter Sunday morning. So you got three services back to back there 8 a.m. 9 15 and 1030. So you've got the Maman Protestant service at 915 book ended at 8am and 1030 am with the Catholic Mass. So if you would prefer to go on Saturday evening for the great visual mass, if you are Catholic, I would highly recommend paying a visit to Mary Queen of the Universe.
Um, uh, Basilica over on, uh, just off of Vineland. Uh, and there you will find Holy Thursday services at 7 p.m. Good Friday services at 9 a.m. noon and 6 p.m. The great visual at 8 p.m. and then Easter Sunday at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon. If you've never visited there, I highly recommend it. It's beautiful. There are people from all over the world who attend there. It is not a regular parish. So it is quite literally the Catholic visitor ministry in Orlando.
Yeah, it gets a lot of local visitors from all the theme parks, all the vehicles anders. So if you're worried about standing out like a sore thumb because you're not a local all, um, all, no one's going to know. Yeah, every that all our local who are finding themselves in the area for whatever Sunday or Saturday evening. But yeah, so either basically there are no visitors at that church because everyone is a visitor. Nice. All right. So the wraps up Easter. I, the other thing that's really nice. I like is a upcut,
I'm garden festival. Yeah. Very. You get to see it this year. Do I? Oh, that's right. I get to go. Like three weeks. The flowers are awesome. And then the butterfly gardens cool. And the weather is nice. And you got some food to see. You happy. Yeah. And they got a great little concert series set up. I'll capture a video of him skipping down the way. Right. That's right. You'll love it. I don't know. That's right. We have to test Amber. We have to test her and see if she goes right or left depending on which entrance we come in.
Well, we're going to be at Beach Club, right? I don't remember where I put her. I think we're at Beach Club. So I don't because you knew we were going to Epcot. Yeah. So we'll come in that entrance over there. So we're at the or we might be at the French one, which will still put us on the. Oh, yeah. The Skyliner. Oh, yeah. You guys are at Riviera. See. Look, Caitlin knows where we are. I don't even know where. You know, that's funny because I could have sworn weeks and then I was like, oh, no, I remember we talked to you
I think I met. Yeah, I think we're right, right, right. Yeah. So we'll take the skyline or an all still tester if she goes right or left She's gonna go right She'll go right. She's not gonna go left. Oh, way You should have her drink around the world and do this scavenger hunt at the same time We'll get both of it We'll do the egg, strap again, Zuh for 12 bucks and we'll probably some drinks and snacks around the world. That would make this extra,
again, so really fun. Yes. Oh, shh. All right, so look what I got. Well, you should describe it to everybody. I see even just pass it to Steve and we can see. Oh my God. What? You can cut some of that stagnant time. Oh, it's backwards because it's a tattoo. Yeah. So she bought drinking around the world tattoos. I don't know where's my thing. Something like that. and you like kick it off as you go. Yes. So we're fun. Mm-hmm. That's right. Good mother.
Yeah. That's great. Taking my daughter drinking around the world. Oh, it's very interesting. It's cute. Well, it's very interesting that starts with Mexico. I would send these back. Debbie would love these. Yeah. Debbie, it starts with Mexico. It starts with Mexico. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, this is the surprise. Wrong. You said this. I've also seen them. That say, I have been drinking around the world. If lost, please return to. Has the resort name. That's good.
Yeah, we'll put like a kid. We used to do those shows. Caitlin before you were around with our little ones, because now you have little ones. And it was like, we would like right. Right on their belly. Right on them with a sharpie or put something on their shoelaces. if they get lost, it says something or get it a little, we had all these little tricks and things. You can just hold it up to what you don't have a camera. So anyways, yeah. And now you're, now we're going to see
now here, 21 years later, we're making more tattoos. We're right on. Well, we gotta keep it in line. Everybody. But I thought this was cute. I don't know if I've ever made it around the world. You've tried and you have failed. I tried when I was a cast member and I was like, this is dumb. I think I got to Japan and then the saki, you're like, what am I doing? After you drink the saki, you're like, I'm not going to be not great if I keep going. So even as a college age kid, I was like, yeah, I think we're done right about Japan.
Well, we did snack around the world with the girls. Oh, that's much I could do that. You couldn't even do that. Well, they got a snack in each country. And that's when you tried a drink in every country. Did I? And they'd have to longer than you did. Yeah, it's too much. Well, it's a lot of food and drink. Well, so that's there's at least there's a lot of plants and flowers. So if you do have to dump one out and be like, oh, that was yummy. When you said dump one out, I'm like,
is he going to go vomit? It would be a lot worse. That was yummy. OK. That was then I can check it off. Okay. It was expensive way to do it though. Nope. So yeah, Easter. Upcut. Let's wrap it up. Alright, that's all yolks. Had to get that last one in. Alright, so we're going to wrap up the podcast. I'd like to thank Pixy Vacations for sponsoring. Frequently Asked Questions
Is Easter a busy time at Walt Disney World?
Yes — Easter typically falls during spring break for many U.S. school districts, which makes it one of the busier weeks of the year at Walt Disney World. If you're visiting at Easter, plan for higher crowds, longer ride waits and book dining reservations 60 days in advance. The good news is Disney leans into the holiday with special menus, decor and character experiences that make the crowds worth it.
What are the best Easter brunches at Disney World?
The MouseChat team's top Easter brunch picks are Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort (8 AM–2:30 PM), Ale & Compass at the Yacht Club (7:30 AM–2 PM), Chef Mickey's for a character dining Easter brunch, and Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge for their family-style skillets with an Easter twist. These all book up fast — reserve at the 60-day window.
Are there special Easter activities at Disney World?
Yes. Disney World resorts typically feature Easter egg displays, visits from the Easter Bunny at select resort hotels, limited-time Easter treats at bakeries and quick service locations, and themed desserts across the parks. The Grand Floridian Resort is especially known for its elaborate chocolate Easter egg display each year.
Does Disney World have Easter egg hunts?
Disney doesn't run traditional Easter egg hunts for guests, but many Disney resort hotels host Easter Bunny meet-and-greets and egg-themed activities for kids. Some resorts also decorate with themed topiaries and photo spots. Check with the front desk at your resort for the current Easter activity schedule when you arrive.
Should I book Disney World at Easter with a travel agent?
If Easter falls during your family's spring break, Disney resorts fill up fast at that price point, and dining reservations are gone within minutes of the 60-day window opening. A Disney-specialist travel agent (like Pixie Vacations) is free to use, books your dining at the 60-day mark, monitors discounts, and handles any changes — all at no extra cost to you.
