Here’s what’s going on at Disney World

EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival

Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival kicks off 2019 this year from , 2019.  This event is perfectly timed to shorten your cold winter and get you excited about Spring gardening while walking around in the warm Spring sun at Epcot.

Outdoor Kitchens

Stop by World Showcase to sample a wide variety of delish dishes, indulgent desserts and specialty sips at our event-exclusive outdoor kitchens.

Garden Rocks Concert Series

Rock on with classic hits! Spend time with family and friends while enjoying live musical performances—plus, our spacious outdoor venue offers spectacular waterfront views.  Expanded to 7 days a week and delivering an amazing 270 concerts, the Garden Rocks Concert Series is more spectacular than ever. There are also Garden Rocks Dining Packages that you can book with your Mouse Chatter or Pixie at Pixie Vacations as part of your Walt Disney World Vacation package.

Topiary Displays, Exhibits & Gardens

Surround yourself with gorgeous gardens, take in unique exhibits and view living sculptures of beloved Disney characters—the detailed likenesses are truly amazing!

Up close with Rhinos Tour at Animal Kingdom

Starting November 1 you get to learn about Rhinos at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  The up close with Rhinos tour is at 11 AM daily and booking for your Disney World vacation is now available.  You must be at least 4 years old to take this tour.  The tour is just $40 for the one hour tour.  Last week we took the caring for giants tour and it was well worth it.  We believe the Rhino tour will also be very popular and worth the $40.

New EPCOT nighttime show coming

A new nighttime show is coming to EPCOT to replace Illuminations, reflections of earth.  You can still see Illuminations at EPCOT one last time.  Illuminations closes Summer 2019.  If you want to see the best illuminations show you should see the Holiday version before it goes away.

UK at EPCOT might get a new ride.

A Mary Poppin’s themed ride might be coming to the UK pavilion at World Showcase.  In the back area of the UK pavilion is a stage and grass area that is really kind of hidden.  I Dumbo like ride with a Mary Poppin’s theme could easily fit here and be ridden from view.

Disney Skyliner, No AC

The new Disney World Skyliner will be in operation taking you to Disney Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Caribbean Beach Resort, and Coronado Spring as well as Pop Century Resort.  This high speed ride we have been told has enclosed glass cars with vents, but no air conditioning.  The cars hold eight people.  Surely Disney knows how hot the Florida sun gets and this has been accounted for, but it seems like these cars would get really hot.

Magic Kingdom early morning event adds more attractions

More Early Morning Magic starting on Dec 2 more attractions will be added to the Magic Kingdom 7:45 AM – 9 AM the attractions will open early for those taking advantage of the early breakfast offer.
