My wife and I and our two kids, now 6 and 2, live in Dorchester Ontario Canada, which is approximately 2 hours out of Detroit, and we always drive. Not only do we drive, but we drive continuous. It us approximately 1600 miles or 19hrs, and with stops for food, gas, and occasional sight seeing, we normally put it off it 26hrs. We own an Equinox and at the current price of gas it runs us about $600 round trip.
It’s all about the experience, the sights, and the freedom of having your own vehicle that have us keep doing it.
